Griffins Compete for First Time in Spring Semester

Yesterday, Sunday, February 23, Seton Hill University Women's Equestrian team competed for the first time this spring after our winter break. The show was hosted by California University of Pennsylvania and Washington and Jefferson College at Bloomfield Stables in Belle Vernon, PA. Many of the team's riders competed yesterday. Individual places for all of the SHU riders are as follows: 

Alexis Kupic (Senior): 2nd open flat

Savannah Theodor (Senior): 1st open fences, 1st open flat

Summer Black (Junior): 1st intermediate fences, 1st intermediate flat

Kate Krueger (Sophomore): 1st intermediate Fences, 3rd Intermediate Flat

Carrie Hood (Senior): 6th Limit Flat

Jessica Confer (Sophomore): 6th Limit Fences

Rose Grover (Freshman): 6th Novice Walk/Trot/Canter

Katie Muise (Freshman): 3rd Introductory Walk/Trot

After her two blue ribbons in open flat and fences classes, Savannah Theodor was also awarded Reserve High Point Rider. 

 

Seton Hill was the champion of this show with 26 total team points, followed by Mercyhurst with 25 team points, and West Virginia University with 24.

 

We are very proud of everyone who performed their best at this show and we are greatly to our hosts for taking care of our home barn during this weekend's event. We are looking forward to our double header at Stonegate farm in Ohio on March 7th and 8th, 2020
