Seton Hill traveled down Interstate 70 to take on California (PA) in PSAC West action on Wednesday evening. 

California (PA) controlled play from the start and held off a late Griffins rally in a 82-69 victory over the Griffins. 

The teams exchanged baskets over the first three minutes of the game with the score being tied at six.  Four straight three pointers from the Vulcans gave them a 18-6 lead, a lead in which they never lose.  They extended their lead to 20-6 before a Chimaobi Ezekwesili basket trimmed the lead to 20-8 with 12:40 to play in the first half. 

An Anthony Karabatsos three pointer and a layin cut the deficit to 10 points at 24-14 with 8:07 to play.  CalU built their lead to 46-23 before Jaden Nelson hit a three pointer at the buzzer to trim the lead to 46-27 at the half. 

A three point play from Marrek Paola early in the second half cut the Vulcan lead back to twenty points.  Five straight points from Ezekwesili cut the lead to 61-40 at the 13 minute mark. 

Ten straight points from Nathan Davis cut the deficit to 80-68 with 2:01 to play.  After two defensive stops, Ezekwesili hit one of two free throws to trim the lead to 80-69 with 41 seconds to play.

Davis led the Griffins with 18 points.  Nelson finished with 16 points.  Drew Green and Ezekwesili each added 11 points.
