The Griffin tennis team continued nonconference play on Sunday afternoon with a match with Fairmont State at Latrobe High School. 

Seton Hill swept the doubles matches and won three of the six singles matches for a 4-3 victory over the Falcons.  SHU improves to 2-0 on the season. 

SHU took the one doubles point by sweeping the three doubles matches.  The doubles teams of Kaelyn Zak/Jenna Bailey and Cameron Beer/Ana Salazar both won their doubles matches by a 6-0 score.  The doubles team of Kaitlyn Walch and Marlayne Verenna picked up a 7-5 win to complete the sweep. 

Zak won at number two doubles by a 6-0, 6-2 score.  Bailey followed that with a 6-0, 6-0 win at number three singles.  Walch earned the match win for the Griffins with a 7-5, 6-1 victory. 

The Griffins will begin PSAC play on October 13th when they meet Millersville and West Chester.
