GREENSBURG. - The Seton Hill University men's basketball team dropped their 2019-20 Pennsylvania State Athletics Conference opener to Mansfield, 87-73, Saturday afternoon inside the Katherine Mabis McKenna Center.

• Seton Hill is now 1-2 overall, 0-1 in the PSAC.
• Mansfield improves to 2-3, 1-0 in PSAC play.
// INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Mansfield shot 51.22% (21-41) in the first half, and 50.00% (13-26) in the second to finish with a shooting percentage of 50.7% (34-67) for the contest.
// SHU LEADERS
• Jimmy Moon led the Griffins with 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the floor, including a 2-for-4 performance from three point range. Moon also grabbed a team-leading seven (7) rebounds.
• Nathan Davis finished with 20 points on 8-for-17 from the floor, 3-for-8 from long-range. Davis pulled down five (5) rebounds.
• Drew Green had 10 points to round out the double-digit scorers for the Griffins.

// HOW IT HAPPENED
• Mansfield started off as well as any team would hope to start off, racing out to a 9-0 lead in the first two and half minutes of the game. The Mounties would continue the trend, eventually pushing their lead as far as 18 before settling on a 47-33 lead heading into the break. Layups by Jimmy Moon and Nathan Davis cut the lead to 10 early in the second, but it would take until midway through the half for the Griffins to scrap back into the contest. Facing a 60-46 deficit at the 12:49 mark, Seton Hill would score 11-straight points to cut the Mansfield lead to just three, 60-57, with 10:54 to play. That would be as far as Seton Hill would get, though, as Mansfield would regroup and go on to win, 87-73.
