Seton Hill began their three day weekend in Erie County with a Friday evening matchup at Edinboro.
The Griffins swept the homestanding Scots to kickoff their weekend. SHU is now 13-8 overall and 8-4 in PSAC play while the Scots drop to 13-11 overall and 7-6 in PSAC play.Â
SHU used a 6-0 run early in the first set to take a 9-3 lead.Â
Viktoria Farian opened the run with a kill. She also added two aces during the run. A 5-0 run with two kills from
Jillian Livorse and
Katie Koziarz pushed the lead to 14-5. Another 5-0 run put the set away as the Griffins took a 1-0 lead with a 25-13 first set win.Â
Seton Hill broke open a close second set with a 5-0 run as they built a 12-8 lead. Edinboro battle back in the set to tie it at 23. Kills from Livorse and
Bobbi Rempe gave SHU a 2-0 lead with a 25-23 second set win.Â
A kill from Farian, two from Livorse and an
Erin Parks ace gave SHU a 9-5 lead early in the third set. Edinboro battled back to take a 17-16 lead. Two kills from Livorse led to a 4-0 run and SHU led 20-17. A kill from
Cameron Baril ended the match and SHU won the set 25-20.Â
Livorse led SHU with 15 kills while hitting .438. Farian added 10 kills. Erin Parks pitched in 7. Taylor Sabol led the offense with 32 assists. Carrie Leazer had a team high 18 digs.
SHU will continue the Erie trip on Saturday evening when they take on Gannon.Â
