Seton Hill continued PSAC play on Saturday afternoon at Shippensburg looking to extend their eight match unbeaten streak. SHU scored first but could not hold the lead as the Raiders ended the unbeaten streak with a 2-1 home win. SHU is now 4-1-4 overall and 1-1-3 in PSAC play while the Raiders improve to 7-2 overall and 3-1 in PSAC play.
The Griffins almost scored off a corner kick in the 15th minute when
Liam Kettle's shot was stopped by the Raider keeper. SHU took a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute.
Tormod Staal Simonsen played a thru ball to
Per Stenseth who beat the keeper to his left to put SHU ahead 1-0. That lead lasted eight minutes as the Raiders tied the score at one. The game was tied at one at the half. Shippensburg held an 8-6 advantage in shots.
Just over eight minutes into the second half, the Raiders took a 2-1 lead. The Griffins outshot the Raiders 10-2 in the second half but could not find the game tying goal.
Austin Iddon finished with 3 saves in net. Stenseth and
Archie Lock each added three shots.
SHU returns to action on Wednesday afternoon at 2 PM when they host Gannon.
