Seton Hill made the trip to Slippery Rock on Tuesday afternoon for a PSAC contest on a rainy field at the Rock's Mihalik Thompson Stadium. The Rock used a nine goal and six goal run during the game in route to a 16-4 victory over the Griffins. SHU falls to 2-8 overall and 1-5 in PSAC play.
The Rock opened the scoring just over three minutes into the first half. With just under twenty one minutes remaining in the half,
Savannah Monroe finished a pass from
Mackenzie Kilduff to tie the score at one. Over the next sixteen minutes, the Rock would roll off nine straight goals to take a 10-1 lead with 4:25 to play in the half. SHU scored twice in a thirty second span to cut the lead to 10-3.
Jaclyn Frank scored from
Brooke Lawrence and Kilduff scored from
Alexis Petrarca to cut the lead to seven. Slippery Rock scored the final goal of the half to take an 11-3 halftime lead.
Slippery Rock scored the first five goals of the second half before Kilduff scored the final goal of the game.
Kilduff led the Griffins with two goals and an assist. Petrarca added two assists.
SHU returns to action on Saturday afternoon when they host Shippensburg at 1 PM.
