CANTON, OH. -  The Seton Hill University women's basketball team held Malone University to just 22 second-half points and the Griffins earned a 64-53 win in Canton.

• Seton Hill is now 2-1 on the year
• The Griffin defense held Malone to just 25% (8-for-32) from the floor in the second half.
• SHU shot 39.6% (21-for-53) from the field for the game.
• Cheyenee Trest led the Griffins with 15 points and six rebounds. Megan Marecic was the only other player in double-figured with 10 points. Tiana Stewart and Lexi Civittolo had nine and eight points, respectively.

// INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Seton Hill would hold a 16-15 advantage after the first quarter, but eventually fall behind 31-29 at the half. Cheyenne Trest and Katie Nolan each had seven points in the first half. Malone's Mikayla Poole led the game with eight points and six rebounds.
• Seton Hill ramped up the pressure in the second half, holding Malone to just 10 points in the third quarter while scoring 19 of their own. With the game tied at 41, SHU's Cheyenne Trest hit a three and Sydney Rabold hit the second of a two-shot foul to push the lead to four, 45-41. Tiana Stewart capped off the run with a three-ball off a fast break to give SHU the largest lead of either team (seven), 48-41.
• Malone would battle back with a 9-0 run over the first few minutes of the fourth to take a 50-48 lead with 7:51 remaining. However, the SHU defense would clamp down and limit Malone to just five more points the rest of the way.

• SHU takes on Saint Francis University (NCAA D-1) in an Exhibition on Tuesday, November 20th before welcoming Salem University in Greensburg on Monday, November 20th. Tip-off for the Salem game is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
