The Griffins closed out the home portion of their schedule with a matchup with #5 Shippensburg on Wednesday afternoon at Dick's Sporting Goods Field. Shippensburg scored four times in the first half and added two more in the second half for a 6-0 win.
Shippensburg scored twice in the first six and a half minutes to take a 2-0 lead. In the 15th minute, the Griffins Caitlyn Bray struck a shot out of the air towards the net but the Raider keeper was able to keep the ball out of the net. The Raiders added two more goals for a 4-0 halftime lead.
Just over eight minutes into the second half, Shippensburg took a 5-0 lead. Just thirty seconds later the Raiders made it 6-0.
Emma Jorgensen finished the match with 9 saves.
Elizabeth Armbruster added 8 saves in the second half.
The Griffins will travel to top ranked East Stroudsburg on Saturday afternoon.
