Griffins Earn Three Huge Points at East Stroudsburg

Seton Hill made the long trip across Pennsylvania needing three points from a road win at East Stroudsburg on Friday evening.  The Griffins scored three times in the second half for a 3-1 win to earn three important points in the PSAC standings.  SHU is now 7-3-5 overall and 4-2-4 in PSAC play.

Neither team was able to score in the first half.  The Warriors led in shots by an 8-3 margin.

The Griffins did not waste much time in the second half cracking the scoreboard.  Henrik Berg gave the Griffins a 1-0 lead just 4:17 into the second half.  He deflected a shot from Louis Mason to give the Griffins the lead.  Just under five minutes later, Berg made the score 2-0.  He finished a cross from Alex Dysen to give the Griffins a two goal lead.  In the 76th minute, Mason drilled a free kick into the top right corner to increase the Griffins lead to 3-0.  Two minutes later the Warriors cut the Griffins lead to 3-1 but SHU was able to hold the Warriors off the scoreboard the rest of the game for a 3-1 win.

Austin Iddon finished with 3 saves in net for the Griffins.

SHU takes a break from PSAC play on Wednesday when they host WV Wesleyan.
