Seton Hill made the long trip across Pennsylvania needing three points from a road win at East Stroudsburg on Friday evening. The Griffins scored three times in the second half for a 3-1 win to earn three important points in the PSAC standings. SHU is now 7-3-5 overall and 4-2-4 in PSAC play.
Neither team was able to score in the first half. The Warriors led in shots by an 8-3 margin.
The Griffins did not waste much time in the second half cracking the scoreboard.
Henrik Berg gave the Griffins a 1-0 lead just 4:17 into the second half. He deflected a shot from
Louis Mason to give the Griffins the lead. Just under five minutes later, Berg made the score 2-0. He finished a cross from
Alex Dysen to give the Griffins a two goal lead. In the 76th minute, Mason drilled a free kick into the top right corner to increase the Griffins lead to 3-0. Two minutes later the Warriors cut the Griffins lead to 3-1 but SHU was able to hold the Warriors off the scoreboard the rest of the game for a 3-1 win.
Austin Iddon finished with 3 saves in net for the Griffins.
SHU takes a break from PSAC play on Wednesday when they host WV Wesleyan.
