Seton Hill Athletics Mourns the Loss of Maggie Murray
Seton Hill Athletics is saddened to learn of the death of Maggie Murray, a 2018 graduate of the university. Murray was a member of the Seton Hill University Volleyball team where she was a two year team captain. Seton Hill Athletics mourns the loss and extends its condolences to Maggie's family, friends and volleyball teammates.
Maggie was a friend to everyone and loved by all. Her smile was contagious. She will be sorely missed by all of her family, friends and teammates. She will always be remembered.
Following graduation, Murray was attending LECOM School for Dental Health in Bradenton, Florida.
Murray was a four year member of the Seton Hill volleyball program, earning second team All PSAC honors as a senior last season. During her career, Maggie appeared in three PSAC Tournaments and helped the Griffins to two NCAA Atlantic Regional appearances.
Maggie was a great all around player for the Griffins, doing everything from running the team's offense as a setter to playing as an outside hitter. During her career, she played in 130 matches for the Griffins including 427 sets. She finished with 2,268 assists, 508 digs, 382 kills and 207 blocks and 83 assists.
