The Griffins took a break from PSAC action on Wednesday evening as they hosted LIU-Post.  Seton Hill entered the contest seventh in the region while LIU-Post was eleventh.  The match featured five matches that were won by fall with the Pioneers earning three of those wins in route to a 24-22 victory for the Pioneers.  SHU drops to 1-2 in dual matches while the Pioneers improve to 5-2 overall.

SHU got off to a quick start in the 125 pound match.  Alan Diltz gave the Griffins an early 6-0 lead with a win by fall just 1:42 into the first period of his match.  The Pioneers then ran off three straight wins, including two wins by pinfall to take a 15-6 lead after four matches. 

Zach Voytek cut the Post lead to 15-9 with a 5-2 win in the 157 pound weight class.  Voytek dominated the match and picked up the fifth point on riding time.  Post increased their lead to 18-9 with a win by decision at 165 pounds.

SHU then ran off three straight wins to take a 22-18 lead with just one match remaining.  Zach Mattucci earned a hard fought 3-2 win by decision at 174 pounds to cut the Post lead to 18-12.  Billy Bowlen then dominated his match at 184 pounds producing a 9-1 major decision victory.  Jacob Temple then gave SHU the lead with a dramatic win by pinfall in the 197 pound weight class.  Temple earned the pin with just eight seconds left in the third period of the match. 

LIU-Post won the final match by pinfall, 57 seconds into the second period of the match, for the 24-22 victory.

SHU will jump back into PSAC action on Saturday evening as they host #6 ranked in the region Gannon at 7 PM.
