Following his third strong start of the season, junior quarterback Christian Strong has earned his first PSAC West Offensive Player of the Week Award.  Strong shares the award with Jake Sisson of Edinboro.  Strong joins quarterback Dan Pietrangelo as the only two Griffins to earn PSAC West Offensive Player of the Week Awards.

Strong passed for 517 yards and 4 touchdowns in the Griffins 44-22 win over Kutztown.  He completed 32 of 47 passes.  Christian completed passes to 11 different receivers in the game.  He nearly missed breaking the SHU single game passing record.  He threw touchdown passes of 37, 89, 60 and 12 yards.  Strong also helped SHU to set a new single game total offense record.

The Griffins have the leading passing offense in the PSAC and are second in total offense.  Christian also leads the PSAC in passing yardage per game.  SHU is second in Division II in passing offense while Strong is second in Division II in passing yards per game.

Strong and the Griffins will put their undefeated mark on the line when they host California (PA) on Saturday.
