The Griffin field hockey team closed out their season by hosting West Chester on Saturday morning. The Rams scored twice in each half for a 4-0 win. SHU ends the year with three victories.

West Chester opened the scoring just 8:19 into the contest with a goal in front of the crease off a pass from near the goalline. The Rams increased their lead to 2-0 with a goal late in the first half. WCU held a 15-1 advantage in shots in the half.
Just 4:16 into the second half, the Rams increased their lead to 3-0 on a deflection of a shot in front of the SHU keeper. Less than ten minutes later the Rams scored the final goal of the game, this one on a perfectly tipped shot that just went over the keeper's head for the fourth goal of the game.
Jane Eberhardt was very good in cage, making 17 saves for the Griffins.
