Box Score Seton Hill continued its prep for PSAC play with their final non conference contest before conference play begins on Wednesday. The Griffins played host to Walsh University on Monday afternoon on a hot and steamy afternoon. SHU scored twice in the first half and cruised to a 2-0 victory. SHU improves to 2-1 on the season.
Seton Hill had a great scoring chance just 10 seconds into the game but
Tom Urquhart's shot was stopped by the keeper. SHU finally got on the board in the 17
th minute after Walsh was called for a hand ball just outside their own box.
Colin Watson then finished the free kick to give SHU the 1-0 lead. SHU increased their lead to 2-0 with 10 minutes to play in the first half as
Curtis Gallagher chipped the keeper and found the back of the net. SHU held a 2-0 lead at the half and an 11-4 advantage in shots.
The Griffins continued to control play in the second half as they held an 13-2 advantage in shots but could not find the back of the net.
Cameron Evans posted the clean sheet in net. He recorded 1 save.
Seton Hill will open up PSAC play on Wednesday night at California (PA). Kick is set for 6 PM.
