Box Score 2 The Griffin volleyball team continued play at the Crimson Hawk Invitational on Saturday afternoon with two more games. Seton Hill took on Lake Erie and Notre Dame (OH). The Griffins knocked off both the Storm and the Falcons in four sets. SHU improves to 4-0 on the season.
Seton Hill took the first set by a score of 25-22. They took a 2-0 lead over Lake Erie with a 26-24 win. Lake Erie responded with a 28-26 win in the third set but the Griffins closed out the match with a 25-22 win in the fourth.
Shelby Kyllo led the Griffins with 16 kills.
Cassie Hausfeld added 8 and
Jenna Sassack finished with 6.
Brynn Fleury had a team high 21 assists.
Lauren Teed finished with a game high 18 digs.
The Griffins took the first set from Notre Dame by a 25-17 score. The Falcons battled back to tie the match at one with a 25-18 win in the second set. The Griffins then won the match with a 25-13 win and a 25-11 win. Hausfeld led the Griffins with 12 kills, Sassack added 11 and Kyllo finished with 8. Sassack and
Emily Gilles each had 4 blocks.
Maggie Murray led SHU with 21 assists. Teed had a game high 21 digs.
SHU returns to action next weekend at the Eckerd Tournament in Florida.
