Box Score Seton Hill opened the new season on the road at Pitt Johnstown for their PSAC and season opener in Head Coach
Andy McNab's first game as head coach on the hill. UPJ held a 1-0 lead but the Griffins rallied for two goals in the second half to leave Johnstown with a 2-1 win.
The Mountain Cats scored the games first goal in the 16th minute of the contest to take a 1-0 lead. The Cats held that same 1-0 lead at the halftime break. SHU held a 5-4 advantage in shots in the first half.
The Griffins finally cracked the scoreboard in the 71st minute of the contest.
Breanna Novosel blasted a shot from the right side of the box and beat the keeper to tie the score at one.
Emma Bearinger assisted on the goal. Less than two minutes later the Griffins took the lead with a goal from
Emily LoPresti. She scored off a free kick. The Griffins dominated the second half with a 15-5 advantage in shots.
Jessica Neill recorded 4 saves in net.
Seton Hill returns to action on Saturday when they host Gannon in another PSAC contest.
