Seton Hill took a break from PSAC play on Tuesday afternoon as they hosted GLIAC foe Malone on a damp and dreary day at DIck's Sporting Goods Field. SHU scored once in the first half and added two more goals in the second half for the 3-1 victory. With the win, the Griffins improve to 4-5 on the season.
Freshman
Randi Selbekk scored her first collegiate goal in the 19th minute of the contest to give the Griffins a 1-0 lead.
Emily LoPresti found Selbekk with a pass from midfield and Selbekk did the rest.
Megan Warman gave the Griffins a 2-0 lead with a goal just 1:21 into the second half when she scored on a free kick from way outside of the box that found the top right corner of the net. Less than two minutes later, LoPresti made the score 3-0 with a goal from
Alex McIntosh that found the top left hand corner of the net. Malone scored their lone goal 1:40 later to trim the lead to 3-1.
SHU held a 19-11 advantage in shots and an 11-4 advantage in shots on goal in the contest.
SHU will travel to Mansfield on Friday and Lock Haven on Saturday.
