Seton Hill closed out play in the PSAC/MEC Challenge with two matches at Wheeling Jesuit on Saturday. SHU took on Shepherd in the first match of the day and came away with a 3-0 victory. SHU then took on highly ranked Wheeling Jesuit in the nightcap and the Cardinals won the match by a 3-0 score. SHU is now 9-3 on the season.
SHU took the first set over Shepherd by the score of 25-15. They followed that with a 25-13 win in the second set. SHU closed out the Rams with a 25-22 win in the third set. SHU hit .306 in the match.
Cassie Hausfeld led the Griffins with 10 kills.
Jenna Sassack and
Rachel Satira each added 8 kills.
Shelby Kyllo had a match high 3 blocks.
Maggie Murray finished the match with 20 assists.
Brynn Fleury added 16 assists.
Lauren Teed had 10 digs with
Abigail Malsch adding 9.
Wheeling Jesuit took the first set over the Griffins by a 25-9 score. The Cards followed that with a 25-12 win and closed out the match with a 25-20 win. Hausfeld finished with 8 kills.
Emily Gilles added 5.
Jenna Sassack finished with 4 blocks.
Brynn Fleury had 18 assists and
Lauren Teed had a match high 22 digs.
SHU will host the PSAC Crossovers next weekend with matches on Friday and Saturday.
