Seton Hill hit the road for its final PSAC crossover of the season when they made the trip across the PA Turnpike to take on the Golden Rams from West Chester. SHU battled back to take a 38-34 lead but West Chester scored two late touchdowns for a 48-38 victory. Both teams are now 1-2 on the season.
The Griffins forced a three and out on the first West Chester possession of the ball game and were able to drive to the WCU 34 yard line on their first drive but were forced to turn the ball over on downs. The Rams went three and out on their next possession but forced a SHU interception and returned the ball to the SHU 10 yard line. Two plays later the Rams scored on a 12 yard touchdown pass to take a 7-0 lead with 8:16 to play in the first quarter.
Jarvis McClam returned the kickoff to the WCU 38 and a penalty moved the ball to the 23 yard line.
Jesser Boulnemour ended the drive with a 32 yard field goal to cut the lead to 7-3 with just over 6 minutes to play.
Neither team was able to find the endzone until the Rams scored on a 9 yard touchdown pass with 8:09 to play in the half to take a 14-3 lead. McClam returned the next kick to the West Chester 49 yard line. Three plays later

Ardell Brown for a 43 yard TD pass to cut the lead to 14-10 with just over 7 minutes left in the half. West Chester closed out the first half scoring with a 27 yard field goal with 14 seconds to play in the half.
On their second possession of the second half, West Chester increased their lead to 24-10 with a 38 yard TD pass. SHU answered right back with a 52 yard TD pass from Strong to Brown to trim the lead to 24-17 with 5:39 to play in the third quarter.
Brandon Norman ended the next WCU with an interception and a return to the SHU 29 yard line. SHU completed that drive with a 28 yard touchdown rush from
Brandon Stout that tied the score at 24 with 57 left in the third quarter.
West Chester retook the lead just 31 seconds into the fourth quarter with a 16 yard touchdown run. SHU answered right back with a four play drive that ended with a 37 yard TD pass from Strong to McClam with 13:54 to play in the ball game. The Griffin defense held WCU to a 20 yard field goal on their next possession and the Griffins tooke their first lead of the game after a one yard run from
Khalil Howard that gave SHU a 38-34 lead with 5:29 to play in the game. The Rams retook the lead with a two yard TD run with 2:15 to play in the game. SHU threw four straight incompletions to turn the ball over on downs to the Rams. The Rams put the game away with a 51 yard TD run on a 3rd and 11 that gave them a 48-38 lead with 1:04 to play.
Christian Strong was 28-48 for 322 yards with 3 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
Ardell Brown had 6 receptions for 152 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Jarvis McClam added 6 catches for 84 yards and a touchdown.
Robert Brown finished the game with 12 tackles.
