Seton Hill looked to make it two PSAC victories in a row when they took on Lock Haven on the road on Saturday evening. The Bald Eagles used a late penalty kick goal to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Griffins. SHU drops to 3-6-1 overall and 1-3 in PSAC play.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first half. SHU had two shots on goal over a six minute stretch with
Rory McKinnon and
Fraser Goodlad each having their shots stopped by the LHU keeper. SHU held a 7-4 advantage in shots in the first half. Eleven minutes into the second half,
Joe Smith nearly gave the Griffins a 1-0 lead but his shot hit the post. Just over a minute later
Curtis Gallagher's shot was stopped by the LHU keeper.
Louis Mason registered a shot on goal in the 76th minute that was also saved. LHU finally got on the board in the 79th minute when they scored on a penalty kick to take a 1-0 lead. SHU did not get another shot after the Lock Haven goal.
Cameron Evans recorded 3 saves in net for the Griffins.
Seton Hill will host Shippensburg on Wednesday afternoon.
