Griffins Fall at Lock Haven on Late PK

Seton Hill looked to make it two PSAC victories in a row when they took on Lock Haven on the road on Saturday evening.  The Bald Eagles used a late penalty kick goal to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Griffins.  SHU drops to 3-6-1 overall and 1-3 in PSAC play.

Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first half.  SHU had two shots on goal over a six minute stretch with Rory McKinnon and Fraser Goodlad each having their shots stopped by the LHU keeper.  SHU held a 7-4 advantage in shots in the first half.  Eleven minutes into the second half, Joe Smith nearly gave the Griffins a 1-0 lead but his shot hit the post.  Just over a minute later Curtis Gallagher's shot was stopped by the LHU keeper.  Louis Mason registered a shot on goal in the 76th minute that was also saved.  LHU finally got on the board in the 79th minute when they scored on a penalty kick to take a 1-0 lead.  SHU did not get another shot after the Lock Haven goal.

Cameron Evans recorded 3 saves in net for the Griffins.

Seton Hill will host Shippensburg on Wednesday afternoon.
