Seton Hill hosted Shippensburg on Saturday as it honored its two seniors
Brittany Davis and
Carissa Davenport-Smith before the contest. Seton Hill jumped out to a 1-0 lead but the Raiders scored the final three goals of the contest for a 3-1 victory. SHU drops to 1-14 overall and 1-8 in PSAC play.
Shippensburg came out of the gates pressuring the Griffins with four penalty corners and five shots in the first ten minutes. The problem for the Raiders was that none of the shots were on goal. SHU was able to take a 1-0 lead a the 12:51 mark of the first half.

Ashley Curnow in the circle and Curnow deposited the ball into the back of the cage for her second goal of the season. Ship tied the score with 6:03 remaining in the half on a goal from Emily Barnard. The game was tied at one at the half but the Raiders held big advantages in the stats categories, leading 19-1 in shots and 18-0 in corners.
Barnard's second of the game finally gave Shippensburg their first lead of the game at the 49:11 mark of the second half and the Raiders took a 2-1 lead. Barnard completed the hat trick with a goal with 1:50 to play to give the Raiders a 3-1 lead.
Alexandra Piekarz was very solid in cage, recording 12 saves in the contest. Ship outshot the Griffins 34-2 and had 31 penalty corners to just two for the Griffins.
SHU will close out their season next Saturday when they travel to West Chester for a 1 PM start.
