Game Recap: Field Hockey |

SHU Falls at Home to Bloomsburg 4-2

Seton Hill hosted Bloomsburg on a cloudy, cool and damp Tuesday afternoon at Dick's Sporting Goods Field.  SHU outscored the Huskies 2-0 over the game's final 63 minutes but it was not enough as Bloomsburg held an early 3-0 lead and settled for the 4-2 victory.  SHU drops to 0-12 overall and 0-6 in PSAC play.

Bloomsburg did not waste much time getting into the scoring as they found the back of the ney just 1:06 into the contest.  Just over three minutes later, the Huskies increased their lead to 2-0.  Bloomsburg increased their lead to 3-0 at the 6:37 mark of the first half when they scored after a rebound off a penalty corner.  SHU battled back to cut the lead to 3-1 in the 14th minute when Alesha Herman pounced on a loose ball in front of the net after a Nicole DeLuca shot and deposited it into the back of the net.  The Huskies pushed their lead back to three goals 7:40 into the second half when they scored off a penalty corner.  SHU trimmed the lead to 4-2 in the 51st minute when Molly Childress scored off a Griffin penalty corner.  Dominique Cappello assisted on the goal.

Jane Eberhardt recorded 2 saves in net while Alexandra Piekarz added 4 saves in cage.

Seton Hill will travel to Kutztown on Saturday.
