Box Score The Griffins played their final PSAC Crossover road contest of the season at East Stroudsburg on Sunday afternoon. East Stroudsburg pulled away in the second half for a 92-75 victory. SHU drops to 3-9 overall and 2-6 in PSAC play.
David Windsor opened the contest with a three pointer and
Tyler Bowling followed with a layup to give the Griffins a quick 5-2 lead. After East Stroudsburg scored 5 straight,
Spencer Casson and
Noah Davis hit jumpers to give SHU a 9-7 lead. Bowling then gave the Griffins their final lead of the contest at 11-9 with 16:19 to play in the first. ESU then went on a 15-2 run to take a 24-13 lead at the 9:26 mark of the first half. Five straight points from Windsor cut the lead to 26-21 with just over 6 minutes to play in the half. Davis' dunk trimmed the lead to 29-26 but the Warriors closed the half on a 16-5 run to take a 45-31 lead into the halftime break.
ESU built their lead to 20 at 58-38 with 15:28 remaining in the second half. SHU responded with 6 straight to cut the lead to 58-44 but the Warriors then went on 15-2 run to build their lead to 73-46 with just over 11 minutes to play in the contest.
David Windsor scored a career high 30 points. He was 13-16 from the floor including 4-5 from three point land.
Kameron Taylor added 15 points while
Noah Davis chipped in 14 points. Spenser Casson finished with 4 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks.
SHU will close out PSAC Crossover action on Wednesday when they host West Chester. Tip is set for 7:30 PM.
