Box Score Seton Hill continued its road trip with a visit to #5 Indiana (PA) on Saturday afternoon. The Griffins battled the highly ranked Crimson Hawks, leading throughout the early part of the first half, but fell by a score of 71-56. SHU falls to 8-13 overall and 5-11 in PSAC play. IUP improves to 18-1 overall and 14-1 in PSAC play.
Seton Hill came out of the gates strong using backdoor cuts to get layups against the Crimson Hawk defense as the Griffins took a 9-7 lead at the first media timeout of the half. Both teams went cold from the field over the next four minutes with
Jenna Kaufman's layin the only made field goal during that spurt. SHU led 11-9 with 11:57 to play in the half. Another basket from Kaufman and a layin from
Alexandra Hay extended the Griffins lead to 15-11. IUP answered with a 7-0 run to take an 18-15 lead and force a Griffin timeout at the 8:40 mark of the half. IUP increased their lead to 23-17 before
Kelly Brennan hit a three to cut the lead back to 23-20. The Crimson Hawks extended their lead to 29-23 at the under 4 media timeout. IUP build their lead to 32-25 thanks to shooting 14 first half free throws but
Jharrin Gill hit a three at the buzzer to send the Griffins into the locker room trailing 32-28.
Kelly Brennan hit back to back threes and
Meghan Mastroianni finished a three point play to tie the score at 41 with 15:40 to play in the half. Mastroianni had another three point play and
Lindsey Mifsud had a three point play of her own to keep the Griffins close at 51-47 with 11:45 to play. IUP extended their lead to 58-49 as the Griffins went four minutes without a point.
Alexandra Hay ended the IUP run with a layin to trim the lead to 58-51 with 7:45 to play. Mastroianni hit a three but IUP answered right back with a three of their own to keep the lead at 10 points. The Crimson Hawks were able to pull away in the last four minutes for the win.

Meghan Mastroianni tie for team high honors with 13 points each.
Chelsea Apke finishes with 4 points and 11 rebounds.
Seton Hill will travel to Clarion on Wednesday evening.
