Box Score The Griffin men travelled to Erie, PA on Wednesday evening looking to extend its winning streak to four games. The winning streak would come to an end at three following a 70-50 loss to Mercyhurst. The Lakers used a 15-0 run in the first half and a 12-3 run in the second half in the win. SHU falls to 6-11 overall and 5-8 in PSAC play.
Mercyhurst took a 4-2 lead five minutes into the first half.
Noah Davis then hit a jumper and
Kameron Taylor hit back to back three pointers to give the Griffins a 10-4 lead with 14:05 left in the half. Mercyhurst then went on a 13-2 run to take a 17-12 lead with 6:41 to play.
Damjan Sredanovic completed a three point play and
Tyler Bowling hit a layup and Sredanovic followed with a free throw to give SHU an 18-17 advantage with just under five minutes remaining. From that point on the Lakers outscored the Griffins 15-0 to take a 32-18 halftime lead.
The Griffins came out of the locker room at halftime on fire, scoring the first 12 points of the half and cutting the Laker lead to 32-30 with just over 16 minutes to play.
Noah Davis scored 8 of the points during the run including two three pointers. Mercyhurst answered with a 12-3 run to build their lead back to double digits at 44-33 with 10:53 to play in the half. The Lakers continued to build their lead and led 61-43 at the under 4 media timeout.
Kameron Taylor led the Griffins with 16 points.

David Windsor was held to just 6 points in the loss.
