Box Score Greensburg, PA- The Seton Hill University women's basketball team defeated Slippery Rock 69-55 on Wednesday evening at the McKenna Center. The Griffins move to a 7-9 overall record and 4-7 in the PSAC.

Mariah Wells hit a pair of three-pointers early in the first half as the Griffins jumped out to a 14-0 lead over Slippery Rock at 15:28. Seton Hill held the lead for the entirety of the first half and led as much as 15 points. The Griffins led Slippery Rock 34-22 at half time with support from Well's 11 total first half points.

Mastroianni and Apke contributed 7 points to help fuel the Griffins in the second half. Â Seton Hill pieced together a 35-point half and held Slippery Rock off to win the game 69-55.

Meghan Mastroianni scored 13 points with 6 assists and 7 rebounds.
Chelsea Apke scored a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Mariah Wells scored 14 points with four three-pointers.

Seton Hill shot 39.3 percent (22-56) from the floor and 30.8 percent (8-26) from three-point land. The Griffins went 17-23 overall on the free throw line and scored 14 -17 in the second half.

All 10 eligible players played tonight against Slippery Rock. The Griffins scored 24 points off the bench with 8 different point scorers. The Griffins capitalized 20 points off of Slippery Rock turnovers
