Box Score Greensburg, PA- The Seton Hill University women's soccer team beat University of Pittsburgh Johnstown today 3-1 after pouring on three unanswered goals after a rain delay. Seton Hill is now 1-0 on the season and 1-0 in PSAC play as they prepare to take on Clarion University on Wednesday, September 10th.,

With a halftime score tied at 0, Seton Hill finds themselves unable to capitalize on scoring chances. They dominated the play in the half by out shooting UPJ 13-1.

At 59:48 in the second half, University of Pittsburgh Johnstown scored on their second shot of the game to gain a 1-0 goal advantage.,

At 62:09, the game was delayed because of near by thunderstorms. The game was resumed after a shot break and right away Seton Hill regained momentum.

The Griffins scored their first goal of the game in 10 seconds after returning to the field from the delay. Brooke Richtik scored the goal on a deflection off of a shot by Alex McIntosh who was credited with the assist.,

48 seconds later the Griffins score again, this time Emma Bearinger Scores on a through kick by Megan Warman.

To add a two-goal cushion, Seton Hill's Breanna Novosel showed some fancy footwork as she scores her first goal of the season to put the Griffins up 3-1 with 20:00 minutes left in the match.

Seton Hill holds on for the rest of the match to win the game 3-1.

Freshman, Emma Bearinger recorded 12 shots and 10 shots on cage for the Griffins and also added 1 goal.,

Goalkeeper Timi Schiok recorded 14 saves for University of Pittsburgh Johnstown.
