Box Score 2 The Griffin volleyball team continued PSAC Crossover play at Millersville on Saturday afternoon. SHU ran their winning streak to open the season to 12 as they defeated host Millersville 3-2 in the first match of the morning and then rallied for a 3-2 victory over Lock Haven in their second match of the day. SHU improves to 12-0 overall and 4-0 in PSAC play.
Seton Hill jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead over Millersville in the first match of the day. They won the first set 25-17 and the second set 25-16. Millersville won the next two sets 26-24 and 25-18 to even the match at two sets a piece. After falling down 3-0 in the fifth set, SHU rallied for five straight points in route to a 15-8 fifth set victory. SHU dropped the first set to Lock Haven 25-23. The Griffins rallied for a 25-23 win in the second set. LHU won their third set 25-20. SHU tied the match at two with a 25-19 win in the fourth set. SHU led throughout most of the fifth set and took the match with a 15-13 victory.
Corrine Gahagen led the Griffins with 21 kills in the victory over Millersville.
Shelby Kyllo and
Abigail Malsch each added 15 kills. Gahagen added 7 blocks as well.
Courtney Field ran the Griffin offense with 50 assists.
Lauren Teed led the Griffins with 21 digs. Kyllo led the Griffins in the five set win over Lock Haven with 29 kills. She also added 8 blocks. Gahagen and Field each had 9 kills. Field added 44 assists. Teed posted a game high 40 digs.
Seton Hill will host Glenville State on Wednesday night at 7 PM.
