Box Score The Griffins jumped back into PSAC play on Friday afternoon at Bloomsburg after a non conference game on Tuesday afternoon. SHU made the long trip to Bloomsburg as part of a weekend doubleheader. Neither team was able to score in 110 minutes of action as the game ended in a 0-0 tie. SHU is now 2-2-1 overall and 2-1-1 in PSAC play.
The first half was tightly played with Bloomsburg holding a 4-3 advantage in shots. Griffin keeper
Carolin Edenhofner made 3 saves in the first half. Bloomsburg held a 6-4 advantage in the second half in shots but Edenhofner kept the Huskies off the board with 5 saves.
Emma Porteous and
Megan Warman each had shots in the first overtime period as the Griffins held a 2-0 advantage but could not find the back of the net.
Emma Bearinger had the only shot of the second overtime period but the Huskie keeper was able to make the save. Edenhofner finished the game with 8 saves.
The Griffins will continue their trip as they travel to Lock Haven for a 5 PM start on Saturday.
