Seton Hill travelled to Indiana, PA for a key PSAC West battle against the Crimson Hawks at the KCAC on Saturday evening. The Crimson Hawks jumped all over the Griffins from the opening tip and never looked back in an 81-60 victory. SHU falls to 12-10 overall and 4-8 in PSAC West play.
Indiana took an early 7-0 lead before
Katie Gattuso hit one of two free throws and
Mallory Sanner drained a three pointer to trim the lead to 7-4. Gattuso's bucket cut the IUP lead to 11-8 before a 6-0 IUP run pushed the lead to 17-8 with 13:15 to play. IUP was able to push their lead to 24-14 at the under twelve media timeout. IUP scored five in a row to extend the lead to 29-14 forcing a SHU timeout at the 8:06 mark of the half. IUP was able to build their lead to 18, doubling up the Griffins 36-18 at the under four minute media timeout. IUP took a 39-22 lead into the half.
Paige Alviani hit a three,
Tiara Stossel and
Mallory Sanner each made layups as the Griffins opened the second half with a 7-2 run forcing an IUP timeout at the 17:37 mark of the second half. A steal and a layin from Sanner cut the IUP lead to 41-31. IUP answered with an 11-5 run to push the lead back to 52-36 at the 13:22 mark of the first half. IUP was able to take their largest lead of the contest, 64-45 at the under eight minute media timeout. The Crimson Hawks were able to extend their lead to 74-50 at the last media timeout.
Three Griffins reached 15 points in the contest.

Meghan Mastroianni each scored 15. Alviani added 4 assists and 3 steals. Gattuso pulled down 7 rebounds and Mastroianni added 2 steals.
Mallory Sanner finished with 7 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal.
Seton Hill will host Clarion on Wednesday evening in another PSAC West contest. Tip is set for 5:30 PM.
