Box Score The Griffins hosted the Panthers of Ohio Dominican in a non conference matchup on Tuesday evening. SHU held a 37-36 halftime lead and used a 15-6 run over the final four minutes for a 82-73 victory. The Griffins are now 1-2 on the season.
The first five minutes of the contest were very tightly played with the score tied at 8. Ohio Dominican then went on a 7-2 run over the next minute to take a 15-10 lead. They continued to hold a five point lead at 22-17 with 11:28 to play before the Griffins began to make a run. SHU went on a 9-1 run to take a 26-23 lead with 7:33 to play in the half, the last bucket being a layin from
Nebojsa Stanojevic. SHU then extended its lead to 6 at 31-25 on a jumper from
Tyler Bowling with 4:10 to play. Two free throws from
Damjan Sredanovic pushed SHU's lead back to 33-27 with 3:03 to play in the half. Ohio Dominican then closed the half on a 9-4 run to cut the lead to 37-36 at the half.
SHU held the lead for the start of the second half and ODU cut the lead to 46-43 less than five minutes into the second half. The Griffins then went on a 14-3 run over a three and a half minute span to take their largest lead of the game at 60-46. Ohio Dominican began to chip away at the Griffins lead and tied the score at 67 on two free throws with less than four minutes to play in the second half. A layin from Stanojevic gave the Griffins the lead back, a lead they would not lose again.

Noah Davis drained a three to put SHU ahead 74-67 with less than a minute to play. The Griffins were able to ice the game away at the free throw line, hitting 8 free throws down the stretch.
Nebojsa Stanojevic posted his first double double of the season with 22 points and 11 rebounds.
David Windsor scored a game high 26 points and added 8 rebounds.
Trevor Blondin was the third Griffin in double figures with 13 points. He also added 5 assists.
Noah Davis finished with 12 points.
The Griffins will hit the road for the Thanksgiving holiday. They will take part in the Nova Southeastern Thanksgiving Classic this weekend in Fort Lauderdale, FL. SHU will play Lynn on Friday and the host on Saturday.
