Box Score Greensburg, PA- The Seton Hill University men's soccer team beat University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown 3-1 at home on Saturday afternoon. Seton Hill's five different point scorers help the Griffins improve to 6-4-1 overall and 3-2 in the PSAC conference.

The first 28 minutes remained scoreless despite some scoring chances for both teams. In the 10
th  minute,
Seon Ripley made a great through pass to
Joe Tchimou who put the ball in the net but the play was called back because of an offside call. Pitt-Johnstown also hit a cross bar early in the first half.

The first Griffin goal came at 28:54 when
Bovey Masiole made a heads up scoring play while driving down the right alley. Looking to make a play one-on-one with his defender, Bovey pulled up for a lefty shot that found the far left pipe and scored first for Seton Hill.

Pitt-Johnstown was able to tie the game just before half time at 38:59 to even the score at 1.

The Griffins took control of the game in the second half out shooting Pitt-Johnstown by a total of 16-3 in the half. Seton Hill outshot their opponents 23-10 for the entire game.

With almost timeless offensive possessions, the Griffins produced many scoring opportunities in the second half. The second Griffin goal came at 48:13 after
Joe Tchimou created a give-and–go play with
Trevor Martz to make the score 2-1 Seton Hill.

The last Seton Hill goal came late in the game.
Curtis Gallagher found the back of the net on a through pass from
Joe Smith in the 89
th minute to seal the victory for the Griffins.

Goalkeeper,
Christian Roberts earned the start for Seton Hill, earning his first win of the season while adding 4 saves.

Seton Hill will travel to play Gannon University on Tuesday, October 14 for their next game. Game time is set for 4 pm.
