Griffins Run Winning Streak to Five with 99-80 Victory

The Griffins closed out PSAC crossover action on the road on with a matchup at Mansfield on Saturday afternoon.  Seton Hill extended its winning streak to five games with a 99-80 victory.  SHU improves to 10-3 on the season.
 
Seton Hill jumped out to a quick 17-6 advantage behind 5 points each from Kameron Taylor and Max Kenyi.  SHU continued to lead 22-10 at the under 12 media timeout.  A three pointer from Noah Davis gave the Griffins a 29-13 lead at the 8:10 mark of the first half.  Mansfield cut into the lead and trailed 34-21 at the under four media timeout.  The Mountaineers trimmed the lead to 43-33 at the halftime break.  Malachi Leonard and Kameron Taylor each had 11 points in the first half. 
 
Four straight from Malachi Leonard and a three pointer from Nate Perry extended the Griffins lead to 50-36 coming out of the halftime break.  Back to back threes from Perry and Max Kenyi extended the lead to 56-38 with 17 minutes to play. After Kenyi hit another three pointer, the Griffins took their largest lead of the contest at 65-42, forcing a Mansfield timeout at 13:27.  The Griffins continued to extend the lead behind consecutive three pointers from Taylor and Perry who hit back to back threes and give the Griffins a 77-52 lead with 9:39 to play.  The Griffins were able to close out the game for the 99-80 victory.
 
Kameron Taylor posted a double double of 28 points and 11 rebounds.  Kameron Taylor also posted a double double of 22 points and 11 rebounds.  Nate Perry added 15 points and Max Kenyi tossed in 13. 
 
The Griffins will close out PSAC crossover action on Wednesday when they host Lock Haven.
