The Griffin men's soccer team opened its home schedule with a match against Lake Erie on Sunday afternoon.  The game went into double overtime with Lake Erie scoring the game winner with just under two minutes to play in the second overtime period.  SHU falls to 1-1 on the season.

Lake Erie outshot the Griffins 10-4 in the first half of the contest but keeper Jordan Sodhi made 6 saves to keep the game scoreless.  The shots were even in the second half and and first overtime period.  The Griffins had 3 shots in the second overtime period, but the Storm keeper made all three saves before the Storm scored the game winner 108:11 into the contest.  Jordan Sodhi made 8 saves in the contest.

The Griffins return to action next Friday when they host Bloomsburg at 5 PM in the PSAC opener for the squad.
