The men's soccer team opened their 2013 season on the right foot with a 4-2 road victory at Shepherd on Thursday afternoon.  SHU broke open the contest with 3 goals in the second half to secure the victory. 

Shepherd opened the scoring in the contest with a goal in the 29th minute of the contest.  The Griffins tied the score at one with a goal off a corner kick with less than a minute to play in the half.  Harrison Howes scored the goal with assists by Bovey Masiole and Joe Smith.  The Griffins outshot the Rams by a 10-4 margin in the half.

Seton Hill took control of the contest with three straight goals in the second half.  Bovey Masiole opened the second half scoring with a goal in the 64th minute.  Harrison Howes assisted on the goal.  Eight minutes later Joe Tchimou made the score 3-1 with a goal from Trevor Martz.  Just over a minute later Masiole pushed the lead to 4-1.  Shepherd closed out the scoring with a goal in the 84th minute.  Jordan Sodhi earned the victory in net, making three saves.

The Griffins will host Lake Erie on Sunday at 2:30 PM.
