Seton Hill opened PSAC play in grand style with two victories in two matches in the PSAC crossovers hosted at Seton HIll on Friday afternoon. The two wins run the Griffins winning streak to seven games. The Griffins made quick work of Millersville in the opener on Friday morning. SHU took the first set 25-15 and followed with 25-16 and 25-22 victories to close out the match. After watching two other matches, the Griffins jumped all over Shippensburg in the first set and cruised to a 3-0 victory. SHU took set one 25-15 and then followed that with a 25-20 and 25-21 victories in the second and third set. SHU improves to 12-2 overall and 2-0 in PSAC play.
Corrine Gahagen led the Griffins with 12 kills in the win over Millersville.
Abigail Malsch followed with 9 kills and
Cassie Hausfeld and
Shelby Kyllo each added 8.
Courtney Field led the squad with 27 assists.
Lauren Teed had a team high 13 digs while Hausfeld added 12. Gahagen again led the Griffins in kills in the win over Shippensburg with 10. Kyllo added 8 and Hausfeld and Malsch each had 7. Field again led with 23 assists. Teed had a team high 14 digs. Gahagen also added 7 blocks.
The Griffins will continue PSAC crossover play with a match vs Pitt Johnstown at 10 AM on Saturday and Lock Haven at 6 PM tomorrow night.
