Griffins Improve to 3-0 in PSAC Play with a 3-2 Victory over Slippery Rock

The men's soccer team improved to 3-0 in PSAC play with a 3-2 victory over Slippery Rock on a wet Saturday afternoon.  The Griffins scored the game winning goal on a penalty kick.  Seton Hill is now 4-1 overall and 3-0 in PSAC play.

Matt Sangermano gave the Griffins a 1-0 lead at the 15:38 mark of the first half when his shot defelected off the crossbar and went into the net.  Dilveer Chaggar assisted on the goal.  Slippery Rock answered with two goals in 42 seconds late in the first half to take a 2-1 halftime lead.  SHU tied the score at two with a goal in the 53rd minute.  Joe Tchimou found Trevor Martz with a breakaway pass and Martz slid the shot under the Rock keeper to tie the score at two.  The final goal of the game was scored in the 64th minute when Tchimou scored on a penalty kick to give the Griffins a 3-2 lead.  Jordan Sodhi recorded 4 saves in net for the victory. 

SHU returns to action on Sunday when they host Chowan at 1 PM.
