The Griffin women's soccer team ran its win streak to two with a 2-0 victory over Lock Haven on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Griffins improve to 2-2 overall and 2-2 in PSAC play.
The first half of the contest was tightly played with neither team finding the back of the net until late in the first half. With under 5 minutes to play in the half,
Kara Lopoyda sent in a perfect cross to the box where
Jessica Adams was waiting and buried the ball into back of the net to give the Griffins a 1-0 lead. The Griffins struck quickly in the second half when Adams was fouled in the box.
Erika Wisniewski then drilled home the penalty kick to give the Griffins a 2-0 lead with just over 40 minutes to play in the contest. Keeper
Bethany Winter was able to keep Lock Haven off the board in the game to record the shutout. She made 7 saves in net.
Seton Hill will host Kutztown on Wednesday afternoon at 4 PM.
