The volleyball team split its pair of games in the Lynn University Tournament on Friday afternoon.  The Griffins won their first match of the day, 3-0 over Fort Valley State and then dropped a 3-0 decision to St Leo to close out the day.  SHU is now 5-1 on the season. 

The Griffins dominated Fort Valley State in the opening match, winning by scores of 25-6, 25-16 and 25-14.  Shelby Kyllo led the Griffins with 10 kills, Corrine Gahagen added 5 in the win.  Kelsey Profio led the attack with 22 assists.  Larissa Santangelo had 3 aces and Katie Bloomgren led the team with 7 digs.

SHU battled St Leo in the first two sets before falling in three sets.  The Griffins dropped the first two sets by scores of 25-20 and 25-21 before falling 25-11 to close out the match.  Abigail Malsch led the team with 9 kills.  Corrine Gahagen added 5.  Courtney Field had 15 assists and 11 digs.

The team will close out play in Florida on Saturday with matches against the host Lynn University before playing UPR-Mayaguez in the nightcap.
