The Griffins earned their first ever PSAC win in school history following a 1-0 victory over Bloomsburg on Friday afternoon. With the victory, the Griffins improve to 1-2 on the season and 1-2 in PSAC play.
Seton Hill controlled most of the play in the early part of the contest and was able to capitalize in the 21st minute of the game.
Brenna O'Leary sent a cross into the box and found
Allison Mello who scored her first collegiate goal to give the Griffins a 1-0 lead. The Griffins held that lead into the halftime break. SHU was able to withstand Bloomsburg's attack in the second half and secure the victory behind 4 saves from keeper
Bethany Winter in the second half. Winter earned the shutout, making 9 saves in net.
SHU wlll be right back in action on Saturday afternoon when they host Lock Haven at 12 noon.
