Greensburg, PA- The SHU Griffin football team fell by a score of 55-21 to Slippery Rock University at Offutt Field on Saturday afternoon. The Griffins move to 0-10 overall and 0-7 in PSAC West play.  Slippery Rock who improves to 9-1 overall and 6-1 in PSAC play clinched the PSAC West title and a spot in the PSAC Championship game.
 
Slippery Rock jumped out to a 28-0 lead.  The Griffins put their first points on the board in the second half with a 41-yard touchdown pass from Nick Halfhill to Erik Kerns with 8:33 to play in the third quarter.  The Rock answered that with a 82 yard touchdown return on the kickoff following the touchdown. The second and third Griffin touchdowns came late in the fourth quarter. Norman Darden scores the second touchdown on a 47-yard pass from Nick Halfhill with 4:03 left in the 4^th. Jarvis McClam scored the last touchdown on a 14-yard run play with 56 seconds left in the 4^th quarter to conclude the scoring.
 
Looking for their first win of the season, the Griffins will wrap up the season Saturday, November 16^th at 12:00 PM against Cheyney University.
