Gourley Scores Game Winner in Double OT

Madison Gourley's goal with 1:46 remaining in the second overtime period gave the Griffins a 3-2 victory on the road at Lake Erie on Sunday afternoon.  The win is the Griffins second consecutive non conference win this weekend.  The Griffins improve to 4-7 overall on the season. 

Lake Erie scored the game's first goal in the 18th minute of the contest and held that lead into the halftime break.  Just over 12 minutes into the second half, Bri Kostan scored to tie the score at one.  Miranda Wallace assisted on the goal.  Eleven minutes later Kostan scored her second goal of the game to give the Griffins a 2-1 lead.  Lake Erie was able to tie the score at two with a goal with just under 10 minutes to play in regulation.  Neither team scored in the first overtime period with the Griffins holding a 4-3 advantage in shots.  No one had a shot in the second overtime until the last few minutes of the contest when Madison Gourley scored the game winning goal with 1:46 to play in the second overtime period.  Bethany Winter recorded 6 saves in net for the win. 

Seton Hill returns to PSAC play on Tuesday when they host Gannon.
