The women's soccer team got the feeling of playing in a professional stadium on Saturday afternoon as they battled Point Park at Highmark Stadium, the stadium of the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. The Griffins liked the experience, winning a 1-0 battle over the Pioneers. Seton Hill improves to 3-7 overall.
The Griffins got on the scoreboard early in the contest when
Stephanie Mizla scored in the 7th minute of the contest. It was Mizla's first collegiate goal. The Griffin defense controlled play the rest of the game as they held on for the 1-0 win. The Griffins were able to outshoot the Pioneers by a 20-3 margin.
The women will travel to Lake Erie on Sunday.
