Comeback Attempt Falls Short as Griffins Drop 3-2 Decision at Ship

Seton Hill scored twice in the second half to trim a 3-0 Ship lead but it wasnt enough as the Griffins dropped a PSAC contest at Shippensburg by the score of 3-2.  With the loss, the Griffins fall to 5-11-1 overall and 3-11-1 in PSAC play.

Shippensburg jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half with a goal in the 20th and 40th minutes of the contest to take a 2-0 advantage into the halftime break.  The Raiders made it 3-0 with a goal at the 63:22 mark of the second half.  Eight minutes later the Griffins got on the scoreboard when Jessica Adams scored on a feed from Brenna O'Leary.  With a little over 11 minutes to play in the contest, O'Leary scored to trim the lead to 3-2.  The Griffins had two more shots on goal in the last 11 minutes but could not tie the contest.  Bethany Winter recorded 3 saves in net.

Seton Hill will close out their season next Saturday when they travel to Pitt Johnstown.
