The Seton Hill men's soccer team ran its unbeaten streak to seven games on Tuesday afternoon at Salem International. Seton Hill scored three times in the first half and secured a 3-2 victory. With the victory, the Griffins improve to 7-1-1 on the season. SHU remained fourth in the latest NSCAA Division II Atlantic Regional rankings and is also still receiving votes for the national poll.
Joe Tchimou got the Griffins on the scoreboard with an early goal just over 6 minutes into the contest.
Joe Gorirossi sent
Matt Sangermano in on a breakaway and Sangermano finished the goal in the 26th minute to give the Griffins a 2-0 lead. The Griffins pushed their lead to 3-0 with a goal late in the first half off a corner kick. Tchimou scored his second goal of the game from
Dilveer Chaggar. Salem was able to battle back with two goals early in the second half. They scored their first goal off of a free kick and then trimmed the lead to 3-2 with a penalty kick goal in the 47th minute. That would be all the scoring and the Griffins won their seventh contest of the season.
Jordan Sodhi recorded a save in net for the win.
Seton Hill will remain out of conference play on Saturday when they host Wheeling Jesuit.
