Griffins Tie East Stroudsburg 2-2

The Griffins battled back from behind twice on Wednesday afternoon to forge a 2-2 tie with East Stroudsburg at Dicks Sporting Goods Field.  SHU trailed 1-0 and tied it then trailed 2-1 before tying the score at two.  SHU is now 4-9-1 overall and 2-9-1 in PSAC play.

East Stroudsburg scored the lone goal of the first half in the game's 34th minute, even though the Griffins held a 7-5 shot advantage.  Seton Hill tied the score at one when Jessica Adams dribbled the ball down the left wing and found Katelyn Wiater in the box for the game tying goal in the 64th minute.  East Stroudsburg then took a 2-1 lead just 4 minutes later.  The Griffins tied the score for the second time when Andrea Wisniewski put home a loose ball in front of the net with just over 11 minutes to play in regulation.  Seton Hill outshot ESU 4-2 in the overtime periods but could not find the back of the net for the game winner.  Bethany Winter made 6 saves in net.

The Griffins will travel to West Chester this Saturday for a 2:30 kickoff.
