The women's soccer team dropped its seventh straight PSAC contest following a 2-1 loss at Mercyhurst on Saturday afternoon.  Mercyhurst scored twice in the first half with the Griffins finding the back of the net once in the second half but it was not enough.  With the loss, the Griffins fall to 4-9 overall and 2-9 in PSAC play. 

Mercyhurst got on the scoreboard first with a goal in the ninth minute of the contest.  Just over ten minutes later, Mercyhurst made it 2-0 with another goal.  The Lakers were able to take that 2-0 lead into the halftime break.  Mercyhurst outshot the Griffins 7-3 in the first half.  The Griffins began to take control of play in the second half, outshooting the Lakers 11-7.  Madison Gourley was able to get the Griffins on the scoreboard with a goal at the 57:48 mark.  The Griffins were unable to find the equalizer and dropped the contest by a 2-1 margin.  Bethany Winter recorded 4 saves in net.

The Griffins will host East Stroudsburg on Wednesday with a 4:30 PM start.
