The men's basketball team traveled to Fairmont State University on Monday night to battle against the Falcons in a conference contest. Fairmont State picked up a 69-53 victory over Seton Hill.
The Falcons got off to an 11-2 run to start the game. Seton Hill cut the Fairmont State lead to 18-15 with 9:52 to play in the opening half, however the Falcons responded with a 15-4 run to take a 33-19 lead with 3:27 to play. The Griffins scored eight of the final 10 points of the half to cut the Falcons advantage to 35-27.
Once again the Falcons came out strong and started the second half with a 10-4 scoring streak. This pushed their lead into double figures over the Griffins with the scoreboard reading 45-31 with 15:32 to play. The Falcons never looked back as they continued to increase their lead over Seton Hill to as many as 19 before wrapping up the 69-53 victory over the Griffins.
Max Kenyi led the Griffin offense scoring a game-high of 20 points.
Kameron Taylor added 15 points and
Malachi Leonard led the Griffins on the boards with 10 rebounds. With the loss on the road Seton Hill now stands at 6-5 overall and 3-4 in conference play. The Griffins will head home for their next game to host West Liberty University on January 10
th, at 7:30PM.
