On Thursday night the Griffins traveled to Shepherd University to take on the Rams in a WVIAC contest. The Griffins came up short and suffered a 91-83 loss on the road.
In the first half the Rams got off to a solid start with a 10-2 lead after 5 minutes of play. The Griffins turned up momentum and at the 5:00 mark only trailed the Rams by 1, 26-25. With the final minutes winding down the Rams went on a 5-0 run giving them a 10 point advantage over the Griffins to send Seton Hill into the locker room trailing 41-31.
In the second half Griffins cut down the first half deficit and tied the game 52-52 with 13:38 remaining. The Rams managed to build back up the 8 point lead 62-54 at the 10:00 mark. Seton Hill then went on a run and outscored the Rams 11-3 tying the game once again 65-65 with 7:36 left in the contest. Shepherd took the lead for good with the next bucket and continued to increase their advantage until the final buzzer sounded. The Griffins suffered a 91-83-road loss.
Lenjo Kilo who scored 22 points while
Nate Perry added 19 points led the Griffins. With the loss the Griffins fall to 7-7 overall and 4-6 in WVIAC conference play. Seton Hill returns to action on Saturday when they host Pitt Johnstown at 4:00.
